Chinese yews re a multi-stemmed, conifers.
The photos on this page are from three different trees.
The photo of bark if from one of the trunks of a tree at the top of Frost Hill. There are two younger trees in the China section of the Arboretum . These were propogated from cuttings of the older tree.
Yews are dioecious, with staminate (male) pollen-bearing cones and pisillate (female) seed-bearing cones occuring on different trees.
